Basketball Recap: Russellville Takes a Loss

Russellville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 19th straight defeat. They received a blow as they fell 61-42 to the Ohio County Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 72-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Russellville's defeat dropped their record down to 1-24. As for Ohio County, they pushed their record up to 12-11 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Looking ahead, a feisty cat fight will be fought as the Panthers take on the Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Franklin-Simpson will roll in looking for their tenth straight win, something Russellville surely won't give up without a fight. Ohio County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
