Volleyball Recap: Notre Dame Academy Wins Going Away Against Fontbonne Academy

Notre Dame Academy won the last time they faced Fontbonne Academy and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Ducks.

One reason for the win was Notre Dame Academy's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-17, 25-13.

Aislinn Friday paced Notre Dame Academy's offense, picking up five kills. Friday got some help from Amelia Burgoyne and her ten assists. Friday was also solid from the service line: she led the team with five aces.

Notre Dame Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Fontbonne Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-2.

Notre Dame Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Malden Catholic on the 8th. As for Fontbonne Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 loss against Holbrook on the 8th.
