Baseball Game Preview: Liberty Red Devils vs. Chesnee Eagles

The Liberty Red Devils will take on the Chesnee Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

On Thursday, Liberty made easy work of Brashier Middle College Charter and carried off an 18-3 win.

Meanwhile, Chesnee won against Greenville Tech Charter on Tuesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Eagles didn't even let the Warriors on the board, marking the Eagles' second-straight 15-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won seven in a row.

Chesnee's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Liberty, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.

Liberty was able to grind out a solid win over Chesnee in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, winning 8-5. Will the Red Devils repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
