Basketball Recap: Calumet New Tech Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Hobart came into Tuesday's game looking for another win against Calumet New Tech, but Eric Allen wouldn't allow it. The Calumet New Tech Warriors secured a 51-47 W over the Hobart Brickies on Tuesday thanks in part to Allen, who went 6 of 15 on his way to 23 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Calumet New Tech's points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Johnny Hudson, who posted nine points and six rebounds. What's more, he also racked up two blocks, the most he's had since back in January.

Calumet New Tech's win ended a three-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-1. As for Hobart, their loss was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calumet New Tech will square off against Whiting at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Hobart, they will face off against River Forest at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. River Forest will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Hobart surely won't give up without a fight.
