Soccer Recap: Green Run Takes a Loss

Green Run lost against Kempsville back in March of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Stallions lost 10-0 to the Chiefs. While losing is never fun, Green Run can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked 248th, while Kempsville are ranked 29th).

This is the second loss in a row for Green Run and nudges their season record down to 2-7. As for Kempsville, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Green Run will challenge rival Salem at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Kempsville is set to take on their familiar foe Landstown at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
