Basketball Recap: Arapahoe Comes Up Short

Arapahoe lost against Lawrence-Nelson back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Arapahoe Warriors took a 39-25 bruising from the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders.

When it comes to explaining why Arapahoe lost, don't look at William Cacy. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Cacy is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last four games he's played dating back to last season.

Lawrence-Nelson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Wyatt Frey out in front who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 18 rebounds. Caleb Griffis was another key player, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 12 rebounds.

Arapahoe's record now sits at 0-2. As for Lawrence-Nelson, their victory ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Arapahoe wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 49-37 defeat against Southwest on the 10th. As for Lawrence-Nelson, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 39-33 loss against Bruning-Davenport/Shickley on the 14th.
