Wooster is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and West Holmes a six-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Wooster Generals will welcome the West Holmes Knights at 5:00 p.m.
On Monday, Wooster didn't have quite enough to beat Loudonville and fell 3-2.

Kennedy Russell made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Emily Boyd, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask West Holmes). They blew past Waynedale 12-2 on Monday. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Golden Bears recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.
BRIAR CLINE made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits. CLINE was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two doubles. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, West Holmes let GABBY FOWLER and ZALINA PROPER run wild. FOWLER went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI, while PROPER scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That home run was FOWLER's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of PAYTON HUDSON, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.
West Holmes was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
West Holmes' first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-7. As for Wooster, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.
Wooster's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's contest. The Generals have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for West Holmes, though, as they've been averaging only 0.9 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Wooster continue to outrun the ball?
Wooster suffered a grim 13-4 defeat to West Holmes in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Generals avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
