Baseball Recap: Syracuse Comes Up Short

Syracuse came into this matchup off a tough 15-run defeat last Tuesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Davis Darts by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Titans have struggled against the Darts recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Burkon Beus was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Easton Hamblin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Syracuse's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Davis, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-4.

While Syracuse had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.
