            Softball Recap: Woods Cross Wildcats vs. Roy Royals        
        
		
        
        
            Woods Cross's game  last Friday was a  loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They blew past the Roy Royals 14-7. Considering the Wildcats have won four games by more than five  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Bree Benson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned  (and four unearned) runs on nine hits. She has been consistent : she hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive appearances.

 On the hitting side,  Rylee Feller was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with one  home run, five  RBI,  and two  runs. Those  two  runs gave  her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  Audrey Ayala, who  scored three  runs and  stole three bases while  getting on base  in all six of her plate appearances.
With the  win, Woods Cross broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-8. As for Roy, their loss was  their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which  dropped their record down to 0-11.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woods Cross will square off against Clearfield at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Wildcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 9.7  runs per game this season. As for Roy, they will challenge Syracuse at 3:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Royals will need to watch out since the Titans have now posted at least ten  runs  in their last three matches.
