Basketball Game Preview: Jordan Beetdiggers vs. Provo Bulldogs

The Jordan Beetdiggers are taking a road trip to face off against the Provo Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jordan is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.

Jordan is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Hurricane by a score of 42-33.

Meanwhile, Provo came up short against Mountain View on Friday and fell 52-39. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Jordan will need to focus on slowing down Sutton Villa, one of several Provo players who made an impact when they last played. She went 6-for-14 en route to 13 points along with eight boards and five blocks. Villa is crushing it when it comes to blocks: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Izabelle Moyes, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 16 points.

Provo's loss dropped their record down to 20-3. As for Jordan, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-9.

Jordan ended up a good deal behind Provo in their previous matchup back in February of 2019, losing 60-41. Can Jordan avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
