Volleyball Recap: Burke Takes a Loss

Burke was the 3-0 winner over Parkston when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 2-1 on Saturday.

Emmie Hausmann paced Burke's offense, picking up 13 kills. Hausmann got some help from Kyrie Matucha and her nine assists. Matucha was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Burke's loss dropped their record down to 26-4. As for Parkston, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-5.

Burke didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Winner on the 25th. Parkston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
