Football Recap: Huge Rushing Attack Leads Smethport over Cameron County + How To Watch

Smethport had won three straight at home, but on Friday they bumped up to 4-6 to make it four. They strolled past the Cameron County Raiders with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. This was a revenge game for the Hubbers: when they faced off against the Raiders back in September, they had to take a 38-22 loss.

Jonah Ganoe was his usual excellent self, rushing for 226 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Smethport is 4-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 0-5 otherwise.

Ganoe was just one part of a punishing run game: Smethport was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 319 rushing yards. The Hubbers are 4-2 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

As for Cameron County, their defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-4. As for they, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-4.

Although Cameron County took the loss, they still got scores from Malakai Zucal and Sylus Pearson.

Smethport does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Cameron County, they will head out to take on Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Union/Allegheny-Clarion Valley's defense has only allowed 11.2 points per game this season, so Cameron County's offense will have their work cut out for them.
