It may have taken extra minutes to finish the job, but Kearney ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They won by a goal and slipped past the Lincoln Southeast Knights 2-1. The win was familiar territory for Kearney, who have now won six contests in a row.

Aiden Nutter was the driving force of Kearney's attack as he scored both of Kearney's goals, bringing his season total up to eight goals.

Kearney pushed their record up to 7-2 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Lincoln Southeast, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.
