Gateway - South recap October 22, 2013

Adding to the longest winning streak in Gateway - South this week, Howell beat Howell Central 31-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Timberland made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 3,277 from 3,556. The improvement was largely due to a 26-10 victory over Howell North last week.

The T-Wolves' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Andrew Jehle threw for 35 yards and Devin McDaniel had 26 yards receiving. On the ground Deion Smith contributed 82 yards.

Smith provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Timberland beat the Knights.

McDaniel was the best wideout in the league this week as Ed Gilreath's team beat Howell North. McDaniel racked up 1 reception for 26 yards.

Timberland's offense cannot be tamed this season and the T-Wolves feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jehle has thrown for 197 yards this season, while Tyler Wibbenmeyer has 4 catches for 38 yards.
