Basketball Recap: Augusta Comes Up Short

Augusta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 56-49 to the Whitehall Norse. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 392nd, while the Norse are ranked 189th).

Augusta's defeat dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Whitehall, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-4.

Augusta will venture away from home to challenge Pepin/Alma at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Whitehall, they will welcome Independence/Gilmanton at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
