After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Bulloch Academy, Hilton Head Christian Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They breezed past the First Baptist School Hurricanes to the tune of 33-6. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Hurricanes recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kres Langhals, who threw for 331 yards and three TDs while completing 72% of his passes, and also rushed for 61 yards and one touchdown. Those 61 rushing yards gave Langhals a new career-high. Joseph Houpt also helped out as he racked up 104 receiving yards.

Another reason for the win was Hilton Head Christian Academy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Leading the way was Hayne Burden with two. He also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 16.

Hilton Head Christian Academy's win bumped their record up to 3-5. As for First Baptist School, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Looking ahead, Hilton Head Christian Academy will face off against Beaufort Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for First Baptist School, they will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pinewood Prep at 7:30 p.m. on the 24th.
