Soccer Game Preview: Poly vs. Arleta

The Poly Parrots will take on the Arleta Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Poly is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.

Poly's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Verdugo Hills with a sharp 3-0 win. Poly might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matchups by three goals or more this season.

Ernest Walker and Jeremy Hernandez scored all three of Poly's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 17 goals.

Meanwhile, Arleta and Sherman Oaks CES finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw on Friday.

With that draw, Arleta's record moves to 5-8-4. As for Poly, their victory bumped their record up to 11-4-1.

Poly beat Arleta by a goal when the teams last played back in December of 2025, winning 1-0. Will the Parrots repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
