Douglas had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 12.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Rio Rico Hawks. The Bulldogs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Hawks, too.

Dominique Munoz was incredible, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with four stolen bases. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Giselle Clark, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Douglas kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Douglas' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-2. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Rio Rico, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Douglas has already played their next matchup (against Nogales), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Rio Rico, they will host Sahuarita at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
