Softball Recap: Strayhorn Comes Up Short

Strayhorn and West Union squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Strayhorn had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 14-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-0 on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Strayhorn and nudges their season record down to 11-12. As for West Union, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-9.

Strayhorn does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for West Union, they will face off against Wheeler at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wheeler's pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so West Union's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
