Football Recap: Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Takes a Loss

Our Lady of the Sacred Heart had lost four straight at home, but on Saturday they dropped down to 3-5 to make it five. They took a blow against the Steel Valley Ironmen, falling 38-6. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chargers of the 42-7 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

As for Steel Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 32 points or more this season.

Da`Ron Barksdale had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 126 yards and one score on only 14 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Our Lady of the Sacred Heart will take on rival Shady Side Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Steel Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Ligonier Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
