Baseball Game Preview: Meadowcreek Mustangs vs. Peachtree Ridge Lions

Meadowcreek is 0-8 against Peachtree Ridge since April of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Meadowcreek Mustangs will host the Peachtree Ridge Lions at 3:00 p.m. Meadowcreek has given up an average of 15.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Meadowcreek is headed into Friday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their seventh straight game on Tuesday. They lost 13-3 to Norcross.

Khristopher Gutierrez was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing Two bases. while going 2-for-2. Those stolen bases were his first of the season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Peachtree Ridge duked it out with Parkview on Wednesday. Peachtree Ridge fell just short of Parkview by a score of 7-6. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Meadowcreek's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Peachtree Ridge, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Meadowcreek suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to Peachtree Ridge when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Can Meadowcreek avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
