Football Recap: Providence Academy Comes Up Short

Providence Academy had to suffer through a 49-21 loss at the hands of the Concord Christian Lions. Providence Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even if they lost, Providence Academy's defensive line still kept up the pressure with 4.5 sacks. Ford Bowman refused to say out of the backfield, picking up 1.5 sacks all by himself.

Providence Academy's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Concord Christian, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Providence Academy and Providence Christian Academy will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on the 17th. The LIONS will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. As for Concord Christian, they will face off against Georgia Force Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.
