Softball Recap: Cleveland Warriors vs. Estacada Rangers
Cleveland saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 8-3 to the Estacada Rangers.
Anabelle Sahler was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off six hits. Sahler was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
Sahler wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Bridget Valley, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.
Cleveland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. Estacada has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Looking ahead, Cleveland will head out to challenge Sunset at 12:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Estacada, they will be taking part in a tournament against Roosevelt at 2:00 p.m. on Monday.
