After failing to score in their last contest, Cedar Ridge made sure to put some goals up on the board against Person on Monday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Rockets a 9-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Cedar Ridge, who have now won four games by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Person from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Alex Tong led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Cedar Ridge's win bumped their record up to 4-2-1. As for Person, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cedar Ridge will host Southern Alamance at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Person, they will be playing at home against Northern Durham at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Person's defense better be ready for this one: Northern Durham has averaged an impressive 2.7 goals per game this season.
