Baseball Recap: Bellevue East Comes Up Short

Bellevue East was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 13-4 to the Lincoln Southeast Knights. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Chieftains of the 9-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Brody Graham made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-4 with four RBI and one double. Jace Taggart was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Bellevue East's defeat dropped their record down to 11-18. As for Lincoln Southeast, with the win, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 9-16.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Bellevue East will challenge rival Burke at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Lincoln Southeast is set to square off against their familiar foe Lincoln High at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
