Baseball Game Preview: Goleman Gators vs. Downtown Doral Dolphins

The Goleman Gators will head out on the road to take on the Downtown Doral Dolphins at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. Goleman is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.

Goleman fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Schoolhouse Prep on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 8-7.

Ryan Godinez was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run and three runs. That home run was his first of the season. Kharu Hunter was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and five RBI.

Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Downtown Doral's offense. They lost 11-0 to Coral Shores on Thursday. The Dolphins have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Downtown Doral saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Fernando Quinones, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

Downtown Doral now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Goleman, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
