Basketball Recap: New Life Academy Comes Up Short

New Life Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 71-44 loss at the hands of Hope Academy. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hope Academy apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

New Life Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Hope Academy, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

New Life Academy will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Mahtomedi at 1:00 p.m. Mahtomedi knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully New Life Academy likes a good challenge. As for Hope Academy, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Como Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
