Softball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Dresden's Sixth in Last Eight Outings

Dresden got themselves on the board against Lake County on Tuesday, but Lake County never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 14-0 margin over the Falcons. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by 11 runs or more this season.

Emma Parham was a standout: she scored two runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Mollie Oliver, who scored three runs while going 3-for-4.

Dresden always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lake County only posted an OBP of .222.

Dresden has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.9 runs over those games. As for Lake County, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-10.

Dresden will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Falcons: the pair will be back at it again later today.
