Basketball Game Preview: MacArthur Generals vs. Moline Maroons

The MacArthur Generals will challenge the Moline Maroons at 2:15 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with MacArthur sitting on three straight victories and Moline on six.

On Friday, MacArthur strolled past Jacksonville with points to spare, taking the game 64-46. Given the Generals' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 76th, while the Crimsons are ranked 277th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Moline was able to grind out a solid win over Rock Island on Friday, taking the game 59-50.

MacArthur's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-6. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.8 points per game. As for Moline, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
