Carlmont and Aragon are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Scots will be playing at home against the Dons at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Carlmont has now lost seven straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 5.

Carlmont had taken Burlingame down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Thursday. The Scots took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Scots have lost by exactly three runs.

Emma Gonnikman made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Aragon fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against San Mateo on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Bearcats by a score of 4-3. The Dons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Makayla Hafoka spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on 13 hits.

On the hitting side, Taylor Workman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Destiny Garcia, who went 3-for-5 with one triple.

Carlmont's loss dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Aragon, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-14.
