Softball Recap: Hasbrouck Heights Wins Going Away Against Midland Park

After losing to Midland Park the last time they met, Hasbrouck Heights decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Aviators blew past the Panthers 11-1 on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Aviators.

Maddy Connelly spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on five hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Giuliana Terranova, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI and two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of Mackenzie Riordan, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Hasbrouck Heights' win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Hasbrouck Heights and Midland Park will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Aviators are set to square off against their familiar foe Garfield at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Midland Park will take on rival Park Ridge at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
