Volleyball Recap: Covington Victorious

Covington lost to Millington Central back in August, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Chargers came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 3-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 22-25, 25-20, 25-10.

Covington can attribute much of their success to Kale Wheeler, who had 15 digs and one assist.

Covington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 27 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2024.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 11-4. As for Millington Central, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Covington will be playing at home against Brighton at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Millington Central, they will head out to challenge Bolton at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
