Baseball Recap: Sequoyah Triumphs

Sequoyah had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 11-run drubbing they dealt Roland on Thursday. Sequoyah's pitchers stepped up to hand Roland an 11-0 shutout. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Indians' hitters, who had struggled in the games prior.

The victory got Sequoyah back to even at 2-2. As for Roland, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Coming up, Sequoyah will head out to challenge Keys at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keys has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15 runs per game on average), something Sequoyah will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Roland, they will venture away from home to face off against Metro Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
