Baseball Recap: Youngker Comes Up Short

The Youngker Roughriders came up short against the Catalina Foothills Falcons on Saturday and fell 7-4.

Isaac Valencia made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jeremiah Garcia, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run.

Youngker's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Catalina Foothills, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season.

Youngker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Catalina Foothills, they will take on Nogales at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Apaches have averaged an impressive 8.2 runs per game this season.
