Softball Recap: Midland Has No Trouble Against Permian

Midland never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Permian Panthers. Considering the Bulldogs have won 17 matchups by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory made it two in a row for Midland and bumps their season record up to 23-5. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.5 runs over those games. As for Permian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11-2 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Midland is set to challenge their familiar foe San Angelo Central at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Permian will take on rival Frenship at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
