Wall came tearing into Tuesday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Merkel Badgers. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 contests by seven runs or more this season.

Wall pushed their record up to 19-6 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Merkel, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-10 record this season.

Wall has already played their next match, a 15-10 win against Clyde on the 4th. As for Merkel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 6-3 loss against Jim Ned on the 4th.
