Basketball Recap: Monroe Takes a Loss

Monroe was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Turner Trojans, falling 64-23. While losing is never fun, the Cheesemakers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 437th, while the Trojans are ranked 130th).

Monroe's defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Turner, their victory was their ninth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Monroe has already played their next match (against Big Foot), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Turner will take on Lake Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
