Basketball Game Preview: Spring Creek Gators vs. North Johnston Panthers

Spring Creek is 2-8 against North Johnston since January of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Spring Creek Gators will be playing at home against the North Johnston Panthers at 7:30 p.m. One thing working in Spring Creek's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last eight matchups.

Spring Creek will bounce into Thursday's contest after beating North Johnston, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. Spring Creek walked away with a 69-57 win over North Johnston on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 26-26 at the break, but the Gators were the better team in the second half.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Spring Creek to victory, but perhaps none more so than Nathan Jackson, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine boards. Jackson's evening made it eight games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Brennan Chambers was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 17 points along with six boards and four steals.

This is the second loss in a row for North Johnston and nudges their season record down to 4-8. As for Spring Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 4-6.
