Baseball Recap: Santa Fe Takes a Loss

Santa Fe and Kingwood Park squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Santa Fe had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 10-7 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Santa Fe saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah Nelson, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Santa Fe's defeat dropped their record down to 17-12. As for Kingwood Park, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 27-7-1.

While Santa Fe had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
