Football Recap: Sunnyside Wildcats vs. Arroyo Grande Eagles
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sunnyside can now relate to. They were dealt a 62-14 loss at the hands of the Arroyo Grande Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 618th, while the Eagles are ranked 189th).

Despite the loss, Sunnyside still got an impressive performance from Bob Davis, who rushed for 134 yards. Davis is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least 100 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to Miles Thompson and Zack Tayman. Thompson rushed for 84 yards and three TDs on only six carries while Tayman rushed for 70 yards and a pair of scores.
