Basketball Recap: Steeleville Comes Up Short

If Steeleville was riding high fresh off their 63-31 takedown of Valmeyer on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Steeleville Warriors fell 43-35 to the Trico Pioneers on Saturday. The Warriors were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Pioneers earlier this season, when they won 53-34.

Steeleville has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 14-11 record this season. As for Trico, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-20.

Coming up, Steeleville is taking a road trip to face off against Sparta at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Trico, they will welcome Woodlawn at 6:15 p.m. on Friday.
