Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Leake County walked away with it. They breezed past the Ethel Tigers to the tune of 79-42 on Tuesday. The Gators have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Leake County's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lacurtis tripLett, who went 5 for 7 en route to 15 points. That's the most points TripleTT has posted since back in February of 2024. Jaquailyn Pippen was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 15 boards.

The victory was the third in a row for Leake County, bringing their record for this year to 16-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Ethel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-23.

Looking ahead, Leake County will face off against Shaw at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Leake County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season. Ethel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
