Basketball Recap: Topeka Comes Up Short

Topeka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 18th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 69-46 to the Junction City Bluejays. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Bluejays are ranked 17th).

Topeka's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Junction City, the win keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.

Topeka will be playing in front of their home fans against Shawnee Mission North on Thursday. As for Junction City, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Junction City Bluejays challenge the Bishop Carroll Golden Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
