Northwest Christian found a leader in Nathan Johannes as the squad took down Thunderbird on Friday. Johannes turned in his biggest game of the season, picking up 162 receiving yards and four scores, while also rushing for 150 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also punched in two rushing touchdowns, which is notable because Northwest Christian is undefeated when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.

Looking ahead, Johannes and Northwest Christian will challenge ALA - West Foothills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will pit Johannes up against the Guardians' star rusher Kenyon Rosenthall.
