Basketball Recap: Pleasant Hill Takes a Loss

Pleasant Hill lost against Oak Grove back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Pleasant Hill Roosters/Chicks came up short against the Oak Grove Panthers, falling 78-57. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Roosters/Chicks have suffered against the Panthers since February 18, 2019.

It was another big night for Phillip Nadeau, who en route to 35 points and six boards for Oak Grove. Nadeau has become a key player for Oak Grove: the team is 4-1 when he posts at least 25 points, but 5-13 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Keenan Brady, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

Pleasant Hill dropped their record down to 11-13 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.3 points over those games. As for Oak Grove, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-5 and their overall record up to 9-14.

Pleasant Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 92-65 defeat against Richmond on the 24th. As for Oak Grove, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 54-51 win against Knob Noster on the 24th.
