Tucker Matulka posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Saturday. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Considering he played a big game the last time he faced off against Falls City back in April of 2024, the result shouldn't come as too huge a shock. Matulka has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in three consecutive appearances.

Coming up, Matulka and Raymond Central will be playing at home against Malcolm at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs will be headed into this one with a sizable disadvantage in the rankings (they're ranked 66 places lower in Nebraska), but they're not letting that get them down.
