Basketball Game Preview: North County Knights vs. Lackey Chargers

The North County Knights will head out on the road to square off against the Lackey Chargers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. North County will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

Last Friday, North County didn't have too much trouble with Northeast as they won 70-52.

Meanwhile, Lackey hadn't done well against Huntingtown recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Lackey snuck past Huntingtown with a 53-49 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Chargers.

Lackey's win came from a few key players North County will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Justin Nguessan, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Malik Gordon, who posted seven points and four steals.

North County's win ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-0. As for Lackey, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
