Baseball Recap: Leicester Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Tantasqua Regional, Leicester was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Douglas Tigers by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). Considering the Wolverines' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Leicester's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Douglas, their defeat was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Leicester will welcome Auburn at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The Rockets will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Wolverines surely won't give up without a fight. As for Douglas, they will venture away from home to challenge Hopedale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
