Bethany Community blew Cornerstone Charter out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Cornerstone Charter got their revenge. The Wolves fell just short of the Cardinals by a score of 7-5. The Wolves' defeat signaled the end of their eight-game winning streak.

Jacob Schick was huge no matter where he played even without the win. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 12 consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double.

In other batting news, Landen Long made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Bethany Community's loss dropped their record down to 15-4. As for Cornerstone Charter, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-9 record this season.
