Softball Game Preview: Alleghany Trojans vs. North Wilkes Vikings

The Alleghany Trojans are taking a road trip to square off against the North Wilkes Vikings at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Alleghany is looking for their season's first victory.

Friday just wasn't the day for Alleghany's offense. They came up short against South Stokes on Friday, falling 15-0.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 13 runs the game before, North Wilkes was a bit more limited in their game on Tuesday. They lost 9-0 to Forbush. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

North Wilkes now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Alleghany, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-12.

Alleghany suffered a grim 14-1 defeat to North Wilkes when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Trojans avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
